The way that switch works on my Georgetown is when you switch it off the steps atay where they are until you turn the ignition on, at which time they retract. We use the isolator switch when we're docked and the steps have gone down, so that they don't keep extending and retracting every time we open and close the screen door. They run the house batteries down fairly quickly.

After we get ready tro depart, we flip the switch the other way so that the steps work off the door switch. If you don't do that, they stay up when you stop en-route.

I saw a message somewhere a few weeks ago about an outfit that had less expensive Kwikee parts. I haven't used them, but the feller that put up the message was sold on them.
