I have the same length Newmar on a Workhorse W24 chassis. I have the steering stabilizer and front track bar that were installed by the previous owner. A truck or bus passing will nudge the coach but nothing major. Not sure anything will completely eliminate the nudge because they are moving a lot of air. The previous owner did tell me these upgrades made a big difference in handling of the coach.

If you're on a Ford F53 chassis, before you spend any money on aftermarket stuff, do this.

Cheap Handling Fix. This makes an adjustment to the sway bar, doesn't cost anything.

CHF – Cheap Handling Fix – Fix for sway and handling – 1999 Southwind 35S

Personally, I would not use your existing links, I'd either purchase longer links or make your existing links longer. The longer links improve the geometry of the links to sway bar connection.

SHOCKS - If your chassis is more than about 10 years old, your shocks are probably toast.

Replace Shock Absorbers – 1999 Southwind 35S

These two items converted my Southwind (and my old Mirada) from a two handed white knuckled driver into a single handed, keep your hands on the wheel driver

The things that worked best for me was 1. A rear Trac Bar, 2. Sumo Springs and the CHF. Before I had no need for mirrors when being passed as I could feel the coach try to move. Now I feel almost nothing.

I agree with JoeSR a little throttle as your being passed will limit the push.

Take in consideration if there is a crosswinds and which direction it is coming from and how hard.
Allow some extra space between you and the passing Semi if you are up wind of him, because he's going to suck you towards him when he passes. If you're downwind then his draft will push you away from him. Be prepared to react the proper direction.
Knowing this information can mean the difference between staying on the road and getting pushed off on the shoulder. If there is a shoulder!
I've put over 75 K miles on my 37' Fleetwood Limited and with the steering stabilizers track bars and sway bars mine has been bounced all over the road by air. But nothing I'm not prepared to deal with. I just park it on really really windy or stormy days.

Remember that even General Aviation Pilots can't fly every day because of wind.

We had the same problem with a new rig. Added a steering stabilizer but the actual problem is the air pressure pushing our rear end to the right at the truck passes. Finally stopped at Blue Ox and got the rear track bar installed. Immediate fix. Very little getting pushed around anymore.

How to help against semi trucks pushing a 37U Southwind to the right

Our coach is on the Workhorse chassis. I replaced the original Bilsteins after 8 years, added a rear trackbar I built using Oemy's plans and had the front axle camber angle adjusted to 5 degrees positive (shims). Trackbar cures the "tail wagging" and the canber change cures the constant steering corrections. I figured the shocks were due, at that age and vehicle weight.

Sorry, that should be caster angle on front axle.
