how to mount a a&e crank out door awning

We have a 2006 coachman cross country and it did not come with a door awning well after years of wishing and never doing we found one on ebay great deal, and it is here and is great shape anyway how the heck do you mount the thing i see two holes where i guess it bolts in but do the bolts go through with nuts on the back or just how does it mount i figured you will need to seal the holes thats no problem and I am mechanically inclined just curious as to how the heck the pros mount one of these thanks...

I've been thinking of doing the same project. If you go on-line to A&E site, you will find the installation manual is downloadable. From what I could tell, it looks like you need to mount the equivalent of an awning rail abover the door to 'hang' the awning from and then screwing the body into the sidewall. I suspect its a similar project to hanging window awnings.

Prior to doing too much, you really should know where Coachman installed the reinforcements to handle your awning. I would call them before striking off on my own?
