How to remove the engine air cleaner on CC C9 cat

Has anyone removed the air cleaner on their C9 Cat.? I have a 2005,Country Coach Inspire and want to remove and install a new one. Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you. Jerry

It will be specific to your MH manufacturer and chassis and not just CAT.

Thank you, will check out what chassis it is on. Had it serviced at Speedco in Az., but they didn't have the filter available.

Mine has big pipe clamps and I ordered it from Rv chassis. You should be able to look at it. I called Spartan and they told me what part # I had.

Chassis manufacturer specifies the size and location of the air filter. On my C9 it was pretty easy as I have a side radiator and the air filter is right in front of me. It was more cumbersome wrestling the filter into position, it is a big canister. I had two rubber outlets with clamps and I reset my filter minder to zero. Make sure you get all the rubber connections tight and leak free they use clamps to tighten on the outlets. The worst thing that you want to happen is "dust" the engine which is letting dust bypass the filter then it is engine rebuild time, expensive, no warranty coverage for dusting.

Thanks to all. I bought a new filter, $165.00,ordered from Baxter in White City,Or. I installed it this morning. Next up I'll be redoing the shocks. Thanks. Jerry
