Howard Center Power Steering

Have had my 2005 Diplomat 40PRQ aligned when new tires were installed and the Howard system is now pulling to one side, I would think because of the alignment. Worked fine before the alignment. I would like to know if there's a reputable service center that can adjust/check/service it located in the Southeast or east of the Mississippi. I also have the VHS tapes and the product literature that came with all the other materials when I purchased this in July 2012. Any information or help would be appreciated. Thanks

I spent $1k at on my Howard Power Centering and it lost all it fluid before I got home. IMO, spend you money on installing a Blue Ox system.
It you really want to dump money on the Howard the Iron Horse in San Antonio is really the only place that has the experience an access to parts to get it going. B

I had one on a Discovery years ago and it was the very best, but they had to be setup right. Later I had the Blue Ox True Center on a couple coaches. It was better than most on the market, but couldn't compare the the Howard system. If you have one, IMHO, it's worth trying to correct it. If it was fine before the new tires and alignment the problem is in the tires or poor alignment and not the Howard.

I had a Howard Power Center system on my old Beaver Marquis for 16 years and loved it. Made a real mistake and didn't remove it when we traded up to our Monaco. After a year of looking to find a used one, I gave up looking and installed a Saf-T-Plus system with the Henderson trim adjust. Works just as good as the HPCS did and I'm real happy with it. This was at the recommendation of Kaiser Alignment in Eugene, OR. They used to do HPCS and have not had very good success with the BlueOx unit,

It sounds like the alignment shop did not center the Howard actuator on the cross link after they did the alignment. It it is not centered right it will pull off center.

Kaiser Alignment knows the HPCS well. Kaiser still has some parts and can do limited repair on them.
