Humming while driving

When I'm driving at 60 miles an hour and let off of the throttle I hear a slight humming. When giving throttle no noise I am lost.

Can we ask for more information? Make, model, and model year which should tell us engine and transmission type (or you can provide engine and transmission information too).

Difficult to even start to give an opinion without at least that preliminary information.

(...and btw, I ALWAYS hum while driving --or even have been know to sing a bit too )

Yep,
We need make/model/year/chassis/engine/ etc. There's all kinds of things that could potentially cause your "hum".

Drive train most likely. Lots of moving parts that mate up and turn while driving. Coasting changes the tone due to changes in stress, load, etc.

Checked his profile. He's from Phoenix. Does that help?

I have found the drive shaft cardan joints to lent a particular vibration (easily translated into a humm) if one is slightly stiff. {Cardan Joint = Universal Joint}
I'd say drop that gnarled shaft, and make sure all is smooooth.

I had a co driver once when we were hauling horses to a jumper show in Biloxi, Ms. He was a fill in and I have never had such a bad time. He was a hummer and a whistler, all the time while driving. If you put on the throttle he would hum, off the throttle he would hum. Turns were nice because he must have had to concentrate and wouldn't hum but talk to himself. It was a long drive.

Little am humor, but true.

Sound seems like it's coming from the front of the coach
