hurricane advice

Hi, live in deerfield beach, fl. If a hurricane is on the way, what do we do, and where do we go.

Maybe as your username implies " hit the road " . I don't think you need to worry about this one. It will pass us ( I live in Palm Beach ) with only moderate wind and a few inches of rain.

You have no worries unless you're on the coast. And even then you only have to worry about the salt spray. Sandy will not be close enough to effect you much, in fact you may enjoy it. Charlie went right over us with 110 or so MPH winds. I parked my coach along side of an office building and it had zero damage.

Should not be too bad in Deerfield Beach. I live on the beach in Fort Lauderdale and store the MH in Deerfield.

We'll get some wind and rain, but nothing like Hurricane Wilma's direct hit 6 years ago. We will not experience Hurricane conditions here from Sandy.

I would stay put, the storm is going to be worse at points north IMHO.

(20 years in Fl, lived near Charlotte when Hurricane Hugo barreled inland)

Just my 2 cents!

Looks like the forecast was correct. It will get worse into the day and evening. Winds. 50-60 with 2-3 inches of rain.

Tallulah has given me my orders for the day. Clean out my closets. EEK.

I would put the submarine mode switch on just in case. I used my submarine mode when I went to Hawaii.
