HWH and other room slides ?

Wondering about the issue of having the slide out and can not get it back in, or am I worried about the wrong problem ?

Unless the mechanism is physically broken the slide will always retract. If the power is not working there is a bypass valve for the hydraulics, which allows the room to be retracted. My MH has a ratchet strap to pull the room back into the coach. Electric motor slide mechanisms usually have a long screw to move the room by use of a crank or wrench. Each RV manufacturer has their own method to bypass the powered motion, which is explained in the owners manual.

Found the 3,000 psi switch would not clse to ground, so just runs the hydraulic pump without any control function beyond he pump motor.

Thanks
