HWH Jack alarm defeat
The alarm on my HWH jack system absolutely screams when jacks are down and key is on. I know its a safety feature, but good gosh! I have to listen to that darn thing anytime I'm storing the jacks or if I want to cycle the key for some reason at a campsite. It also has a prominent warning lamp on the dash.
Wondering if anyone has added a defeat switch to the alarm? I'd like to figure out a way to add a "latching" defeat switch. I'd like to be able to push a momentary contact switch to silence the alarm for that key cycle. Then, on the next key cycle, all is back to normal and the alarm sounds again until the switch is once again pressed.
Has anyone done anything like this? I can insert a on/off switch easily in the circuit (I think) but don't know how to make it where it would automatically reset itself when the key is turned off. Been trying to figure out how to do it with a relay and just can't quite figure it out.
Edit - Never mind - found a great video on You tube that gave me the answer!
