HWH Jack down alarm
I just purchased a 2001 Horizon 36CD with a freightliner chassis, we get a jack down alarm and light on the dash, but no red lights on the touch panel. Why would there be a dash board alarm when all four red jack down lights on the HWH touch panel are not on? This is the 310 series system. I have checked the fluid and it is full. HWH did not return my call. I also wonder if anyone knows where the switch is that controls the Parking Brake alarm.
Thanks
Dan

HWH has a great troubleshooting guide on line. I think your touch panel is bad.

The park brake sensor is above the rear differential mounted to the frame.
I'll have to check my air diagram but it may be a combo switch.
Do you have the trouble shooting guide for your HWH system ?
EDIT: I see my slow typing has shown up again. Guide question already asked.

Welcome to iRV2.
Forgot to say that, in the first post. If the control pad is off the indicator lights don't show, but you may have tried that . The jacks down warning operates when the control pad is shut down for safety reasons . Are any of the jacks down ? Only takes an inch.
My coach has the 310 also , I'll read through and see if I can figure a possible cause .
Have you checked all the fuses in the HWH control box?

Here is my air diagram, one for your chassis may be different , being newer.
Sensor is shown in top right corner.
Write this number down.
1-800-FTL-HELP
1-800-385-4357
Have your serial number handy when you call, and inquire about joining " Access Freightliner" for online access to wiring and parts info for your chassis.

Thank you for the switch info and yes I do have the HWH trouble shooting guide. When we turn the ignition key to acc., and run the jacks down, all four indicator lights come on. When we hit store the jacks all come up and the indicator lights go out. When we start the engine the jack down alarm on the dash comes on. I was trying to do a little trouble shooting, when I put my meter on the parking brake switch wire I am not getting a straight ground, I am reading resistance, I do not know if there should be resistance in that line.

A bad connection at the main 40 amp fuse was the only problem , I've had with my HWH, I'll scan the paper work I have and post again . May be tomorrow morning before I get back to you.

Thank-you for the diagram, it will be a great help. Since we just bought the coach Freightliner does not recognize our name with the Vin, so we have not been able to get any info from them.

I have emailed Joe Portelli at HWH in troubleshooting ours. He always responded. Will be ordering parts next week or two.
His email is joe@hwhcorp.com

Thanks for that bulletin Skip. I ran into the jacks down alarm on a trip and it's likely my own fault after reading that bulletin.

dwaller. When I bought my coach there was no Freightliner dealer close to up-date the owner info for Access Freightliner. I scanned them a copy of my bill of sale and current registration; I don't know if they still allow that but may be worth a try.
Wiring schematic shows a diode in the , park brake buzzer circuit, near the "Body builder , camera/jacks drop connector " on page 1
Circuit 125* ,becomes 125 at the diode and changes to 125A at the K8 connector. Park brake buzzer switch is on page 3.
Still trying to figure why a diode in what appears to be a ground circuit.
Note your chassis wiring may be entirely different because of the years, but a diode may explain the resistance your getting.

Thanks to all who replied and gave us so much help. I have pulled the control box and plan on having it evaluated. Happy camping to all
