HWH Jack Pivot Ball Broken

Has anyone had the issue of the pivot ball breaking off from the stud because of the jack extending on to a curb or other obstruction? Mine sheared off when the landing pad hit a curb and when it tilted upward the nipple of the stud that extends through the pivot ball caught on the landing pad and the sideways movment sheared the stud. Has anyone ever had one shear off like that and was able to replace it? HWH does have the parts. I just wondered if anyone has made the repair.Click image for larger version

Done quite a bit of work on my jackls but nothing like this. If nothing else drive it to HWH and let them repair it. Good luck.

Doesn't look like mine either. That is the foot/pad, right?

I did find the attached google image. Look like what you have? Looks like the ball on the end of the ram popped off?

Yes exactly Tim. The leveling pad caught the nipple (stud) on the end of the ball when it moved sideways on the curb and broke the stud that the pivot ball is screwed into. I did get a reply from HWH and they said:

"If you just need the ball and the stud it screws
into the part you need is an RAP93323 and it will cost you $34.90 plus
freight and as of right now I am showing one in stock. The issue you may
have with putting the new ball on is that the stud is loctited in and
you may have to drill into the stud and heat the area up and use an easy
out to get it out. Before you heat it up however you will want to extend
the rod out some and do not put too much heat on there or you will
damage the nickle platting we have on the rod."

Pretty good customer service when they get back to me in less than 24hrs. I will let my local service center do the installation. Hard lesson learned. Don't extend the jacks until you verify all clear.
