I have a 1995 damon intruder and one of the jacks will not kick down. What do you suggest?

Check level of oil in pump reservuoir. Check to see if the cylinder shaft is bent, thus binding in the packing nut, not allowing the jack to come down. You might loosen the nut on the hydraulic hose, on the cylinder, activate the pump, see if any hydraulic oil squirts out. Likley it is transmission oil, it will be red, easy to spot. DO NOT put your hand near the fitting when doing this. IF there is oil, it will be high pressure, over 1000 psi. it can directly inject through your skin, resulting in loss of limb, and or life.
Was the jack ever extended on a very un-level surface? This could cause the hydraulic ram to bend and therefore bind...especially if it was extended a great length.
If you have oil at the fitting, under pressure, it will most likley be an internal cylinder failure. Most of those are not re-buidable, throw away, fetch a replacement!

Spray it with PB blaster penetrating oil. Concentrate on pivot area and spring. Mine were stuck from not being used and this worked for me. Good luck.

They do extend but they wont kick down. My husband manual pushed it down and it extended perfectly. He did spray everything and it still wouldn't kick down. What could that be?

free to roam, all hwh jacks can be rebuilt, unless they are bent. its very uncommon to see a kickdown jack bent. more often stuck seals, or actuator problems which is more common. . there is no reason to just write it off. check the actuator. this is the small cylinder mounted on the side of the large cylinder. push the jack down, wedge something in it to hold it in place and hit the extend button. if the small cylinder doesnt extend, replace that, not the whole jack. get the ap number and call hwh. better yet, download a service manual and do the correct diagnosis. that the right way.
if it is a 9000 lb jack, check the roller bearing at the top of the cylinder pivot. it must turn loose. if it doesnt, use wd-40 to loosen the rust, if it doesnt turn, the jack wont kick down,
if its a 6000 lb jack with the cables attached to the small cylinder, that actuator will have to be replaced.
