I had one jack that was really slow when I purchased my motorhome 2 years ago, I replaced the springs with the new style first and it did help some, the jack was till very slow. Eventually after the jack started leaking and wouldn't stay up, it kept lowering and causing the back corner of the motorhome to drop.

I contacted HWH and was going to send the jack into have it rebuilt. I was under a little bit of a time crunch so I elected to purchase a rebuilt one they had in stock for just a little more then the cost of the rebuild. it was about $350 shipped and took me about 30 minutes to move the sensor to the new jack and install it. pretty simple really.

After investigating my options, I think I'm going to try to replace the jacks myself. There are several videos online describing/showing how to replace the springs but I haven't located one showing how to replace the jacks. If anyone knows where to locate such please let me know. Also, any tips on what I need to know please pass them along. My fear right now is that the hardware will be rusted/corroded and difficult to remove(also if anyone knows how to switch the sensor over let me know). Thanks again

New springs might help,but if you need to pry the jacks up I don't think springs will cure the problem. You need to either send the cylinders to HWH or find a local shop that knows how to work on these cylinders. Farming areas usually have good hydraulic shops nearby. I took all 4 of my cylinders to a repair shop, and had my rebuilt cylinders back in 4 days at a cost of $125.00 each. That was four years ago and they are still working perfectly.
