HWH of i80 near Moscow IA

Planning a visit to HWH for work on our slide system. Two parks mentioned, Hunts River RV park and Koch's Meadow RV park. Has anyone stayed in these parks recently. We are 42 ft long plus tow,so we are about 60 ft total. Also have a small dog. I do understand HWH has first come first serve, but not sure if they are long enough or are 50 amp. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When we were there 2 or 4 years ago they had both 30 & 50 amp service. No sewer. I don't recall water hookup. It was like a big parking lot. Not fancy but more than adequate for a short stay. At worst you would need a generator if no electric hookup was available. Most of the work seemed to be accomplished in a few hours this leading to rapid tunover. You could always call them for an update . Have had good experience with the Interstate RV park in Davenport.

Call for a service appointment. The RV spaces are pretty simple but adequate. Electric connections on the edge if their parking area at the service center. RV size not an issue.

We were there earlier this year. Arrived about noon for a next day 7a appointment, intending to stay at their facility. Upon arrival they had a bay available and rolled us right in. A couple hours later we were in our way - with two remanufactured rear jacks installed. Great experience.

We were there this June. About 6 sites 30 and 50 AMP. All were back in. Your coach is no problem due to length.

Check upon arrival and if all sites are full, go to Hunts River about a mile away or dry camp at HWH.

HWH, one of my favorite campgrounds. Well, I've been there enough one would think that was so.

They do have 50 amp hookups at about 4 or 5 spots on the east side of the building and 3 spots on the west side of the building. If you are "lucky" enough to have your motor home put up on their elevated rack you may even get to spend the night inside the building.

Be aware that many of their workers arrive very early in the morning so you will hear cars/trucks coming into the parking lot early in the morning.

As previously posted, it is not a bad idea to arrive mid-day the day before your appointment as they may be able to work you in that day.

If coming in from the east, I like to stay at the Fisherman's Corner COE park just north of Moline, IL. If coming in from the west I like the Coralville Lake COE park north of Iowa City, and stay in the Tail Water West campground. Either of these locations are about 45 minutes from HWH.

The Tipton Family Restaurant in Tipton is a pretty good place to eat.

Stayed at Hunt's, take a side trip to West Branch to the Hoover library, while the rig is being serviced.
