I have this HWH system:

and have a leaking solenoid, all the way in the back... the last one of course.
Do they simply unscrew?
I suppose I should retract all devices first and then remove it. Does it have o-rings or ???

I really guess I should call HWH before doing anything.
Any thoughts?

Yes, it just screws in and yes it has "O" rings. They are easy to replace. However, you will want to release the pressure to it, by unscrewing the middle screw on the back of the soleniod. You only need to gently loosen the screw until you hear the fluid be released, normally a couple of turns out will do it.

The "O" rings should come out with the unit, if you carefully remove the unit. Before replacing the unit, you need to make sure the "O" rings did come out. You will also get some hydraulic fluid leak out after removing the solenoid.

It is not real common for these to leak. Could just need to be tightened up.

I will try tightening slightly first and then if that fails I'll remove and re-install.

Let everyone know how it goes. HWH has a lot of this type of leaks but the good thing is that they are pretty easily repaired.

I would first try to tighten the solenoid. If it continues the leak, I would remove it and replace the O-ring. Why take a chance that you might have to take it apart again to replace it. O-rings are cheap.

Follow up....

Tightening the solenoid did the trick. It was a little tough to do by hand so I used the trusty rubber strap wench and actually turned it about one full revolution before it was snug. Ran the jacks up and down several times with no more leaks.

Z714X4: Glad your tightening worked. Also liked your use of the rubber strap wrench. I just successfully replaced an HWH solenoid, using one of four spares that came with my coach (two each mounted in the primary and secondary HWH manifolds).
