Are you sure about the hydraulic drums? The 2012 Fleetwood Discovery 40 footers were built on a Freightliner XCM chassis that has air brakes, front disc and rear drum. Is the 36 ft built on a lesser chassis? The only diesel-powered chassis with hydraulic brakes that I know of was the front diesel (FRED) chassis.

Yiiiiiip,
I confirm, the 2012 Fleetwood Discovery 36J is on a Freightliner chassis with the Cummins engine and, it's definitely got AIR BRAKES. Now, if you're asking about whether or not drums vs disc brakes on an air braked coach are of any concern, nope, not at all. A very, very large amount of diesel/air braked coaches out there are running drums and have not had any issues. I've got 91K miles on our '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT 330 and MH3000 trans and my brakes are still between 1/2" and 5/8" thick.
