I'm hooked and cant help myself.
I constantly am looking to buy some gadget or RV upgrade for my motorhome.
Ex. Here is my last 6 weeks worth.
2 digital TV converter boxes.
LED lights to replace a flouresent light
Trik L Start battery charger.
A 9 Watt solar panel
Replaced the inverter with a better one.
Found a good deal on a Hughes used autoformer.
30 amp. I am50 amp.-my reasoning, I only need boost on 30 anyway.
Just ordered a Progressive Ind. 50 amp surge protector.
Looking around in my compartments I came up with 10 boxes of unused toilet chemicals. Cant seem to walk out of a RV store without a box.
Right now I am looking at an oxygenics shower head.
Is there a cure? HELP

Well, a forced and unwelcome cure is to have to curtail RVing for a few months to deal with family issues. When the RV is in storage and I'm not in it, I am not finding "projects".
But before this, I installed...new audio system, solar panel, headlight relay for all 4 on, windshield solar screen, good deadbolt lock, and cool blue under-coach ground light. I fixed or improved...battery tray, water pump and water system.
Now that I'm hanging around the house, I'm seeing too much to do here.

With time and continual dedicated effort on your part, you should be able to find more goddies in less time and with less effort. With this dedicated effort on your part, with time you will run out of things you think you need or will run out of money or the Stock Market will take care of this problem for us all. Problem solved.

In time I think this will work for me????????

Ron--

It is obvious that what is happening is that you are setting up a rolling Winnie Parts Store!

At least I'm not alone. Mine's been in the shop for the last week for some blow-out damage repair. I think withdrawals have set in. I go outside to do something with the coach and it's not there. Like a kid in the hospital, I've gone down almost every day to check on it. It's fine, they are taking good care of it. It should be home next week. The new stuff I've ordered for it is sitting just behind me. It all can be installed after it gets home.

1. We admitted we were powerless over RV gadgets and modifications... that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a LCD modification could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes...
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our RV.
5. Admitted to many a store clerk, to ourselves and to the individuals on this forum the exact nature of our addiction.
6. Were entirely ready to have someone remove all these defects in our RV's.
7. Humbly asked a repair person to help me.
8. Made a list of all sales persons we had angered, and became willing to make amends to them all. (Well maybe)
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible. (Said screw it, and moved on to next step)
10. Continued to take inventory and made a list of further projects.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve my skills, praying only for knowledge to complete the task of the moment and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other gadget and modification freaks, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

I too found myself addicted to all types of gadgets for the MH. Then suddenly, I found the cure sleeping right beside me. DW put the kabosch on it real quick.

That's a terrible addiction to have.
I keep finding new goodies too, but I don't say anything to my DW.

Norton . . . I like your coach!

As long as my DW continues to emulate Imelda Marcos, I'm allowed to buy toys.
