I am very concerned about our 2013 Holiday Rambler

Ambassador we have on order. We have been reading the recent news about Navistar and the EPA, from 4 days ago.

It seems to me to be a major concern if the EPA comes down hard on Navistar, that it's motor home division could disappear.

We were not here for the 2008/2008 bankruptcies of the major and minor RV manufactures. I wouldn't want to be left holding the bag with a new Monaco product

Any comments would be appreciated

Robert

The engine issue isn't specific to motorhomes, so unless the whole company is going under, I wouldn't worry about it.

The EPA case has to do with the MF13 which is yet to be certified as meeting the 2010 standards. I believe your MH is equipped with MF 10 that has been certified. So no real worries, that is unless the whole company folds. Unlikely.

Lets keep Navistar and get rid of the EPA!

Send a message via ICQ to Fred and Bonnie
The Navistar engines that lost the waiver are Class 8 engines, OTR units.

I do not see an issue at this point for the motor homes.

I thought political commentary was against the rules here.

I wouldn't call that political commentary, just common sense. ;-)

Navistar is a huge company and they have invested alot of capitol to get into the MH business, I doubt they are going anywhere soon.
The issue with MF13 engine will get resolved and they will move on, the Epa is just pulling rank at the moment and changing the way the game is played, they will get it sorted out.

The MF 7 and MF10 engines being used in motorhomes are certified and doing well.

I do know if our place sold in the next week or so, we would still order a new Diplomat.
