I DisLike Liars

I totally dislike liars.

I sold 2 NEW Class A Bilstein Shock Absorbers on eBay - posted a picture - part number, and all the Class A motor homes that used the shocks.

Craig Smith Recreational Vehicle Center in Galion, OH purchased them. I had just received two new Bilstein shocks for my 2014 RAM 3500 and re-used the boxes to carefully ship the pricey Bilstein shocks to Craig Smith.

He notified eBay that I shipped them the wrong shocks. As if he didn't open the package and actually see that I sent him the actual shocks pictured on the eBay ad.

eBay agreed to allow him to return the shocks, bill me for the freight, and make me offer a refund.

Craig Smith, you are a liar! You must have lost the sale.

eBay -you can shove it too! I have bought and sold $thousands on eBay. I will cancel my account and NEVER do business with eBay.

Maybe you should of put a note stating the boxes were wrong or covered the part number.

Guess he wanted the factory boxes as well. Doesn't take much effort to check the product in the box. Unless he's lazy as well

I stated that the parts were not in original boxes. And the individual shock boxes were not sealed.

Maybe I messed up by not holding his hand and singing Kumba Ya.

Sounds like he was just looking for an excuse to refuse them!

And, I followed all the eBay rules by contacting the buyer two times and contacting eBay support.

The $$ are not that big of a deal. I just don't like him saying he received the wrong part number. He didn't buy the boxes, he bought the metal pieces - the shocks.

I hate liars too, I'd have to do a lot more research than I choose to do before I could comment on who is at fault here.

And the rest of my comment on liars whold.... Violate forum rules.

You will have to see if he returns the original parts you sent or substitutes them for other used shocks.

No matter what you do, sometimes people are just a pain in the @ss. Personally I wouldn't blame Ebay, they are just protecting their rep. Blame the person who isn't being honest. My 2 cents.

This is a big problem for eBay. Seller sends a product to a buyer who has the same item; except it's broken. Buyer claims that product received was DOA.

My best hope is to place a small dot of paint or nail polish on the part I send...and make photos of it.

If item returned doesn't show those marks, eBay get's the photos.

I will NEVER use eBay again. Two years ago I ordered two iPhone 5s (not iPhone 5S). I paid with a credit card thru PayPal. I received a box in the mail which I signed for. Turns out the box I signed for was EMPTY!!!! I immediately tried to call eBay, PayPal and my credit card (AMEX). Ebay you can't call. I filled out several reports to no avail. PayPal who guarantees everything did nothing. I called them several times and also filled out a report without any results. I filed a police report and a postal report. Eventually Amex covered the charge. I am a loyal AMEX customer now. It was frustrating trying to deal with eBay and PayPal. I will never deal with them again.

I never use Ebay or Paypal, to many scammers/hackers there. Even though they have some great deals, just saying.

FWIW, if we refuse to deal with companies that do billions of dollars of business (probably every day of the week), then we limit our choices.

If the box received was EMPTY, then going back through postal records would likely document that. Flat rate box, not so sure......
