We actually camp in a lot of state parks where there is no cell phone service. That is why we use walkie talkies.

Several posters talk about using the microphone on a backup camera. I tried that once. I could really hear the diesel engine over the speaker. I could not hear anything else but I could hear the diesel really well

It makes us want to say, ummmm!

DW just says

Wait, wait wife. I got better ... How about one of those copter thingys that they sell nowadays. It would be designed to automatically fly somewhere behind the RV as we park, beaming 3D video to one of those new Oculus Rift game sets. That is the ultimate parking assistant.

... and the DW just hands me another drink. I needed that!
Actually someone needs to adapt the backup cameras from an Infinity automobile. It shows 360 degrees around the car. AS you are backing up in a parking lot it shows the lines you need to be centered between. With a motor home it can show you the sides of the pad.

I got a new wife a couple years ago. I don't think I will do that again. Its too hard to retrain.

Ya I been training this one for 43 yr. I guess I'll just keep her. My guess is I don't have another 43 yr left in this old frame to train another. Ha

That's because your engine is in front. My Cummins owns the microphone on my rear camera.
