After replacing the tires and calipers I decided to measure my wheel temperatures. As an engineer, I have access to instruments at work called i-Button Thermochrons. They are devices that look like a large watch battery. You connect them to your home computer and start them on a "mission" to record temperatures. When you are done with them, you plug them back into your computer and download the data. I literally used duct tape and taped one to each front rim and each outer rear rim. I then took my trip which was 200 miles out, then 200 miles back two days later. The weather condition for both trips was some rain and about 75 degrees. That's very interesting, Rob. They sure vary quite abit don't they. I wouldn't have expected the up and down temperatures that much. Maybe it was because of the rain you mentioned.

That is interesting. It makes sense to me that the front wheels would be running a higher temp than the rears in local traffic with more braking and turning involved.
