Ideal Rest Mattress

We have a Winnebago sightseer and has an ideal rest mattress. The bed has to be raised when we are not sleeping in it so we can get around in the bedroom. I was wondering if we should deflate the bed before raising it? We seem to have problems with one side or the other going flat.

Hello,
As a rule we always deflate it before raising it. Seems like I read that in the manual actually, or somewhere. Anyway, it's less stress on the air bags when they bend. If you stay connected to shore power, (the bed's settings are not interrupted) then preparing the bed for sleeping is easy. Just hit memory button on each side, and you're back where you were. One final note, after getting on the bed, hit memory button each side once more. The bed senses weight on it, and will correct itself to the true memory setting you programmed. If you get up in the night, you might have to repeat that process again.

Best regards,
W.D.
