I've read so much over the past few weeks that some of these things become blurred. BUT...I remember in many places people commenting that there gasser either had a hard time tracking, going around corners, squishy feeling, being pushed around by 18 wheelers and so on. And a lot of folks said things like, I added Koni shocks, or a front & rear Roadmaster stabilizer bar—stuff like that. Is that something

So putting our budget together for our 2017 Holiday Rambler Vacationer
XE 32A I thought I'd ask if this should be one my list to get as well? And if so, could you please help me with what the proper name is, approx. cost etc. And is that something on a new MH like ours you should just do by default or wait till you get some miles on it first then decide?

And one last question, since we're going to order this MH build, should I go ahead & have MHS (our dealer) install them upon arrival prior to the PDI or do this my self post purchase and does the front end need to be realigned afterwards?

Most often side-sway is caused by tire under-inflation, and/or a long overhang between rear axle and bumper. Some folks want to run the minimum air pressure in hope of getting a softer ride, which Goodyear says is not true. Run the tire pressure stated on the tire placard in the MH and then make your assessment for what other items you want to try.

I have a 2015 vacationer 36dbt that handles great, no sway, trucks don't bother it and it goes straight down the road just the way it came from the factory. I run 92 psi front and rear. Good luck with your new coach, I'm sure you will like it, mine has been great.

If you recall, most of the handling threads say drive it first. See what you personally don't like. It may drive just fine for your liking.
Then once you drove it start doing the cheap stuff (CHF front and rear). Drive some more. See what you don't like. Fix that item.
There is an item that helps the drive feel but is also a safety measure - front steering stabilizer (RSSA reflex, safe t steer, etc). That's a real easy install but if you want to throw money at the dealer go for it.
I recommend one as it removes a ton of "play" in the steering wheel. Most will say they will help in a front tire blow out.

First drive it and see, no use in throwing money at something not needed. Next step with the coach loaded for travel weigh and set tire presure $10-$20. Now we can see the handling. If a problem, get an alignment, four wheel done $200 or so. If still a need a steering stablizer $450-$600 or the centering type $1000+. Now if still needed a rear track bar $600 plus install. Since its new shocks and bushings should be good, but if all else fails certain tests maybe shocks. I don't believe in throwing money at unneeded items, also these RVs drive like a truck not a sports car, a smooth riding truck but still a truck.
