Independent Rental for my RV

I am looking to rent out our rv motorhome to help with expenses while we are not using it. Do I need commercial insurance since someone else will be driving it? Where do i find the best rental agreement form for my lessors?
Please help

Thanks,

Julie

You may end up with more expenses from what the renters destroy/abuse than what you get in rental income. My neighbor asked me the other day about renting mine and I just laughed. Are you sure you want to do this? Just saying.

Rent to someone let alone let someone borrow it. NO WAY

I would sell my motorhome before I would rent it. I predict your attempt to save money will wind up costing you much more than it saves.

There are several threads here regarding RV renting. Suggest to use the search feature to find.

You will get a "thousand" answers of don't do it before you get a single response of how to go about it.

If you want to pursue it just ignore the naysayers and wait for someone to respond with the info you need.

Sorry that is all the advice I can offer you.

Good luck with that!
We have a lot of things, doo dads, and personal items in our RV. I am not going to clean it out just so some slob can use my RV. Insurance? You'd better get all you possibly can afford. Not everyone can handle a small car say nothing about an RV. How would you vett or interview someone you don't know about their experience driving or even their driving record?
How much do you intend to charge for using your RV? Someone else will be driving it and put additional miles on it. This contributes to additional costs to you for repairs and maintenance. Will the fee you charge offset this and still show you a profit?
Humans are pigs when they have no responsibility maintaining something. Do you want to clean up behind them?
Not to burst your bubble but if I were you I'd sit down and think this over long and hard before setting out and advertising "RV for rent".

Talk to your insurance broker, lender if financed, and lastly an attorney to make sure you have all avenues covered. Only you can make the call - do you want to do this.

Suggest you check with RV rental providers that offer the type of coach you own. They will obviously take a cut of the rental revenue, but they will also have the customers and forms necessary to provide you some protection from liability and damage to your unit.

Don't disagree with your comment except for the part about ignoring the naysayers. There is a reason for a 1000 naysayers. A better statement would be if you want to roll the dice bigtime on having a good outcome renting out your RV, ignore the experienced naysayers who have a gazillion years of experience operating these expensive complex machines that are costly to repair and replace things and wait for the info you seek. To strong ??

The OP didn't ask if she should do it, she asked for advice on how to. My advice still stands.

Just my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

Not all humans are pigs, the cars we have rented are cleaner when we return them than when we rented them.

Yeah I know. If they asked for some advice on the best way to shoot themself I'd still try to talk them out of it.

You are an exception. Of course the car would have been spotless when you rented it if............
