Install luxury vinyl planks in Bounder
I have just joined your wonderful forum. I have a 2000 F/W Bounder. I want to install LVP vinyl. I am somewhat concerned about the travel of the slide out over the vinyl. Any comments, concerns, recommendations, threads or suggestions for this project. Thanks in advance for you help....

I have a 2001 36s bounder and replaced the carpet with vinyl plank flooring. It fit fine under the slide, the carpet it replaced was left sufficient room. I used strips of double sided tape as an extra anchor for the planking. Easy to install and looks great.

Those roller strips may be necessary, but ruin the look. IMO.
Not sure if commercial grade VLP would make the need for the protective strips unnecessary. Perhaps something with an AC rating of 5 or 6.
What does an AC rating mean on laminate or vinyl plank floors?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Hopefully someone with that same rig can advise you. I put 12" squares of LVT laid in a diamond pattern and we love it! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

The aluminum strips aren't visible when the slide is in , and are lifted up as soon as the slide is out .

.
Finished the LVP vinyl installation. Now, it is on to Southside RV Repair, Mr. Sam Cobb will be installing a brand new roof. Mr. Cobb is a very reputable dealer in the Newnan, GA area. He has great reviews and recommendations...And I might add, he is considerably cheaper than three other dealers. It is a win/win for me.
