Installing electric brakes

We have 2003 Monaco Windsor diesel pusher. Recently bought a 8x14 enclosed trailer to take our motorcycles with us on the road. Can someone give me step by steps instructions to hook up the system. Thanks.

If you don't have an electric brake controller installed at the driver's seat, you'll need to install one. Check with Monaco to see if they installed wires from front to back for a brake controller, if not, you'll have to string the wires yourself. Make sure the plug on the trailer is compatible with the plug on the RV, if not that will have to be changed too. If it were me, I'd rather have hydraulic surge brakes for ease of use and an uncomplicated install. I'd also prefer disk brakes on the trailer, no adjustment needed.

I agree with the Surge Brakes as that is what I have on my dolly for the toad. Just thought that maybe someone who have a similar motor home has run into this issue. I have a brake controller, but can't find anywhere under the dash to connect to. Will probably have to run a new line. Thanks for your response.

I sent you a PM, I have several files on how it is installed on a 2002 Windsor which should be similar to yours.
