If you don't have an electric brake controller installed at the driver's seat, you'll need to install one. Check with Monaco to see if they installed wires from front to back for a brake controller, if not, you'll have to string the wires yourself. Make sure the plug on the trailer is compatible with the plug on the RV, if not that will have to be changed too. If it were me, I'd rather have hydraulic surge brakes for ease of use and an uncomplicated install. I'd also prefer disk brakes on the trailer, no adjustment needed.
