Installing Outside Entertainment Center & Pull Out Compartment Tray

How easy or difficult is it to install an outside entertainment center in one of the storage compartments on a coach? Sounds expensive! We will be adding DirecTV to the coach.

Also we would like to add a slide out compartment tray inside of a standard compartment & possibly install a small freezer. Easy or difficult?

I am sure that both of these should be professionally done. Any recommendations on the West Coast? If it is easy to do can you point us to directions?

Again thank you for your words of wisdom & suggestions, we really appreciate it!

Entertainment center not to bad I built my own on a previous MH. A drawer for a freezer store bought will be expensive. The price will depend on what type of coach you have and how the bays are built.

It really depends on what you want I have built several setups mostly on pull out slide trays which is pretty basic build a box to mount the TV and components. Check fit all the stuff and get the wiring sorted out then cover the box with similar material to what the rest of the compartments are finished with. and finish the install. One setup I saw a customer built was a slide tray in the ceiling of the compartment that the TV slid into for travel and storage. When he wanted to watch TV he slid it out and it was hinged so the TV hung from the slides. The rest of the time the TV was face up flat against the ceiling of the compartment taking up nearly none of his storage space.

If you haven't already done so, you may want to search for similar threads on IRV2. I think there was a thread on someone upgrading theirs. If yours doesn't have a place for this in the sidewall, you can do what I did which was find a roomy basement compartment and get a flatscreen tv stand. I was able to set up so I could drill bolt holes in the floor instead of the wall between compartments . Attached the stand to a 32" flat screen with built in DVD PLAYER and voila, instant entertainment center. Compartment had an outlet in it so I just got a 50' RG6 cable with a splitter for when I wanted cable. Was an old rig so I wasn't concerned about adding holes. Only used it for a month before I sold the Rv, but it worked great.
