Installing Tire Pressure Monitors

I am thinking of purchasing a TPM system for my MH.
Do the sensors fit directly on the stock valve stems with enough clearance
My tires appear to have metal stems that stop about even with the wheel.
We own a 2008 Fleetwood Excursion.
I didn't know if you need to have longer stems installed or extend the existing one . I worry that every additional connection would be a source of leakage.
I own a 1 ton truck I use for business that I installed flexible extensions but they never seems to seal properly

I installed them on our DP. The dually in the rear is a little difficult to do, but take your time and it works. I don't have the valve extenders that turn the inside tire valve to the outside that would have made it easier to get to.

I have them on all wheels. I had to replace the 2 inch metal extenders with 2.75 on my inside duals. I got mine at napa they are metal. Before I put the extenders on I ran them without, one of the sensors rubbed on the inside of the hole in the wheel and wore a hole in the battery cover of the sensor. Make sure you put the extenders on tight.

I stopped at a local truck tire shop to have the outer valve stems rotated180 degrees. Thought I would be there for a couple hours. I was in and out in10 minutes, they simply loosened the valve stem nut rotated 180 and tightened the nut.
