Insurance

I need advice. I know I’ve come to the right place.

I just put a deposit down on a 2019 Entegra Vision 29S. I am so exited (my first RV) and I’m sure most of you can remember your first RV and how overwhelming it all can be.

I have been researching trying to find the right ins/coverage.
So much to research/read. I’m hoping those of you that have been down this road can point me in the right direction. Thanks for help. This newbie appreciates you.

Who's your insurance with now, did you get a quote? If they won't cover it let it be known that ALL your insurance will go to the company that does.

Old-Biscuit has the right idea. Check with an independent agent. For us, we’ve had good service from Progressive.

I had The Hartford for my MH, auto and home owners. Their rates went up @ 18%. Shopped around and found SAFECO had the best overall rates. I'd try them.

Agree with independent agent, for all insurance, not just rv. Agree with Progessive too, but I would add this. I got much better quote from Progressive's website than I did from the agent for the same coverage. When I told that to the agent they wrote the policy at the website price.

Tried the ins co I have my auto with. They were higher than any of the other quotes I received.

Anything good or bad to say about the AARP / Hartford policies? Been with Nationwide for longer than I could remember. Got a quote from AARP / Hartford that was 50% less a year than my current policy, with a few added features. I spent 2 and half hours on the phone, bouncing back from the coverage I have with Nationwide to what they were quoting.

From what the agent was saying is this division of Hartford associated with AARP only insures people over 50, so they don't deal with the 20 year old who has had 4 accidents and 3 moving violations in his or her short driving career.

Relating to insuring my RV trailer, what else should I be asking? I put $1000 person property loss, $1,000 emergency breakdown coverage that covers hotel, towing and food.

Hi Superslif
I have had Nationwide for over 30 years, (auto/home) my agent, whom I’ve known just as long, could not beat any of the quotes I received

After spending an entire day talking to different ins cos, I went with SafeCo. (248) 349-3385 Joe was very knowledgeable and he explained each item and answered allllllll my questions in terms this country girl could understand. Full replacement coverage for 10 years. SafeCo offered the best coverage (2019 Entegra Vision) at a price ($1200/yr) I felt comfortable with. It would have been less but I have two violations on my driving record so that raised the premium.

Not a AARP fan,

Its pretty much an individual thing as you can see from all the results, myself the best quote was from Good Sam, due to age of my coach Hartford would insure, had my last one through them then they said no. Good thing, Good Sam was about 400 less than what the others were. Just what I found, with a little shopping around.
Good Luck and Welcome to the Forum.
