Insurance company?
Which insurance company do you have? Are you satisfied with the service and coverage? Do you recommend them? Does anyone have experience buying thru Good Sam? Or National General Insurance company?

I use AAA and have had a MH claim. They were very fair and fast with my claim.

We have Allied Insurance purchased thru Good Sam. This year, we were going to switch to National General because Allied went up on our premiums. We did not switch to National General because we found out that with an Agreed Value policy at National General (In Texas), National General will only pay the Agreed Value in a total loss if you purchase another motorhome within the next six months. Otherwise, National General will only pay actual cash valve. We only found this out after we received the policy and read the fine print in the policy addendum pertaining to Agreed Value. We stayed with Allied and paid the policy increase.

RV was progressive, they have been great to work with
Had one claim, lightning strike or power surge... Fried a bunch of stuff... Cut us a check no questions asked, they did inspect the RV
Auto/business is through Cincy insurance - excellent company

Good Sam National General Insurance company for over 12 years.
Only one claim for a windshield. No problem had Florida 0 deductible on glass.
I like the fact I can drop collision with them when setting at winter spot over the winter.

We have had Allied since 1999 which is before we had a motorhome, and we still had a house. We have had more than half dozen claims and all were paid promptly and fairly. A couple of years ago when we sold our house we looked at changing when a salesman from Good Sam "guaranteed" us that National General would provide the same coverage cheaper, but when the numbers were crunched, Allied was about $200 per year cheaper.

Auto Owners has been great for me. Had a check for repairs to MH within a week and I have never found a cheaper rate.

Thanks everybody, I've received a quote from National General via Good Sam's and State Farm. State Farm was about $500 less per year with similar sounding coverage but, I haven't checked any details to see if it's an apple to apple comparison.

I have had State Farm for many years on my cars, home, and motorhome. I have had 6 motorhomes and have had claims from collision to glass (No Deductible), deer and road service. I have had nothing but great service. Never an increase because of a claim either. They are a mutual which means that they are owned by the policy holders. Not like other companies that are owned by stockholders. Solid company financially. Check ratings for finances also.

What about towing on your policies? Planning an Alaska trip towing a 5'er. If Ram were to have a mechanical problem, wondered about towing of the 5'er to a campground or such. Also the amount of towing paid on a single claim. Our Farm Bureau will only pay up to $75 on a tow. Doubt a tow truck would leave the lot for $75. Was considering Good Sams. Any thoughts?
