Insurance - who have you been happy with?

I just got a new class A Thor, and need to get it insured. I'm a long time Alllstate guy, have the house and 5 cars with them now. I'll get a quote on adding the RV, but also wanted to shop around and learn others experiences. Any special coverage I should be looking at? Anything to avoid? Thanks in advance.

I used my car insurer at first - AARP Hartford - but switched to National Interstate cause I got a bit better coverage for slightly less money. Have had NI for 10 years now and still satisfied, including one major accident claim.

If you have a new rig, you probably want "full replacement value" coverage, i.e. they pay off 100% of what you bought it for instead of "Fair Market Value".

You gotta shop around...I called or did on-line quote requests for everybody I could think of.

I settled on Progressive (partner to my USAA acct.).

No claims to date for Progressive, but since USAA says they are OK, I'm a believer

Progressive now, we used safeco before that. No claims on either.

I had Allstate for 30 years, no problems but rates kept going up.
Switched to Progressive and a year later had a $45,000 accident, 3 cars involved, great service. Only left them because State Farm has lower rates.
Now have State Farm. Theives destroyed the entry door on the motor home last year $5,800 damage. State Farm payed good no questions.

I just renewed with National Interstate Insurance through Farm and City Insurance Services (800-331-1520) in Forest City Iowa. They have treated me very well over the last year.

This info is all too timely. I just got my homeowners and auto insurance bill from Allstate today, and both have gone up again. I'm droping them in the morning. I've owned multiple homes for the past 25 yaers, and currently have 5 cars insured with then, no tickets or claims ever... and that's how they play me. I'm done with Allstate. Bite me Allstate.

State Farm for many years - a few claims - no problems.
Don't forget the Coach-Net for road side assistance.

Make sure you get a quote from National Interstate. They were half my Allstate quote.

I suggest Miller Ins Agency (Miller Insurance Agency) 800 622 6347. Very happy so far with best quotes.

I have GMAC Insurance. I found it to be the most affordable hand the offer very good service. I had a broken window on our 2012 Allegro 35QBA. Called their special glass damage department and within two days the glass was located and on it's way to El Cajon, Ca. They handled everything except driving my rig to the shop. Because of personal knowledge I wouldn't have Allstate Insurance.

I just left Progressive for GMAC. Much better coverage for less money. I have also heard from what I consider a most reliable source that when you need help from your insurance company you may not want to depend on Progressive.
