Question Inverter help

I have my rv hooked up to the house with a 50amp plug. My? Is should the inverter fan run all the time or does it just run when the inverter gets hot. Thanks for the help.

That depends upon the inverter.
What make/model inverter is in your RV?

You have a modified sine wave inverter charger. Here is a link to the manual:

http://magnumenergy.com//wp-content/...Series_Web.pdf

When you are plugged in it is charging your batteries and running anything you have connected to 12V power. Fan operation would not be surprising. Section 3.9 of the manual covers fan operation. It does not lend itself to cut and paste. ;-)

A lot depends on where you are parked.. I have seen my Converter fan running when I was not even plugged in.. Why? Heat of course.

Sunshine on my RV, was enough to warm the compartment enough to turn the fan on.

My magnum inverter fan hardly runs at all, so I would think it's not common to run all the time, especially if you are hooked up to shore power and not putting a demand on the inverter.
