Thanks for all the input! Here is what I learned....
I shutoff my inverter........ unplugged from shore power, and turned on all the interior lights for an hour....... when I plugged back in.... the monitor reported charging the batteries and it was bulk charging. So, converter,,,, charging occurs without the inverter turned on. They are separate.
I will leave it off when we are storing.
During this exercise, I noticed from my panel I can shut-off the converter charger. Not sure why I would do that, but its a one button push. It works, I tried it. There is that option. Might be good for long storage? Cycle it on and off every couple weeks.
When we travel, or prepare to travel, I will leave it on. For me the why leave it on is to keep all the clocks in the micro-wave, bedroom etc set during travel and docking undocking etc.. The DW sometimes uses the power on the road charging the computer etc..
When we return to storage mode, I will shut it down.
Thanks all!
L.
