Sorry about that. My comments (jargon) were in reply to post #53 where it was implied that, since your Magnum was hooked directly to your house batteries, that it may NOT charge your chassis battery also.

My statement simply said that the Magnum didn't have to be configured to charge the chassis battery, because the circuits in your HR (known as a BIRD function) are designed to close the isolator relay any time charging voltage (voltage above 13.2) is sensed at the batteries, regardless of the source.

This is not true for all coaches, however, the HR is known to be designed this way.

Your chassis battery, and house batteries, should charge from shore power as well as from the engine alternator.
