We had the V-10 in both our Class C and our Mirada. It got better mileage and performance than the Chevy we had in our Itasca. It should be noted that the Itasca was a much larger and heavier coach. Overall we were very pleased with the Ford chassis. The only negative we had with it was a shimmy that occurred around 35 and 65 mph. Other than that issue, we never had any problems with the rig.

Check out this site:

TiffinRVNetwork Classified Ads - Home Page

Since you live in NC it would be easy for you to take a Tiffin motor home to the factory in Red Bay, AL if you had any major problems that a local dealer couldn't fix.

I've noticed that the Tiffin Motor Homes do not remain on the sales lots very long especially the ones on the Workhorse chassis with the 8.1L chevy engine. Of course I am prejudice since I am on my second one.

Why don't you try rvonline.com. There looks to be a couple of coaches in your price range right in North Carolina. Don't know where exactly your located in the state but it might be worth the look. Good Luck!
