The Wolf in the 3 element version that is 24" wide draws 30 amps with all three elements on simultaneously. The mfg will certainly add the necessary circuitry to support your optional range. It will run fine on either campground or genset 50 amp service.

Thanks for all the feedback. Have been worried about using the Wolf Induction with the 10kw but listening to your replies, it has reduced our concern. Hope we don't have to do too much power juggling with an all-electric coach.
Plus, we have always heard that Tiffin provides an excellent quality coach, so hopefully if we have a serious power problem, they will help us.

Depending on the amps required for the cooktop, it would require a 30 amp, 40 amp or 50 amp dedicated circuit just for the cooktop. That would pretty much use up the campground 50 amp circuit, just for the cooktop.
Some of the high end coaches using 220 volt require 100 amp campsites.

Don, most campgrounds are 220V 100amp. Most coaches use L1 and L2 as separate 50amp services at 120V, but inside the coach, measure L1 to L2 and you will see 220V.
I have seen 200 amp service at a high end resort.

No ,most camp grounds have 220v 50 amp service that can split to make 100 Amps of 110 v.

I think Dutch Star Don has it right: almost no motorhome short of a Prevost or Newell will be wired for 220v, regardless of what is available at the 50A shore power pedestal. Typically the load center (breaker box) does not even have a slot for a 220v breaker, let alone 220v wiring to the galley.
dmcquinn: where is this 220v cooktop coming from? Is it a factory install or ? If not coming from Tiffin, I suggest you discuss it with them before ordering. I can't find any feature or option on the Tiffin site that mentions a 220v cooktop. However, Lazydays RV is advertising a Phaeton with a Wolf cooktop, but noth9ng about 220v.

You might consider optioning the Magnum Energy MSH3012 3000W 12VDC Hybrid Pure Sine Inverter Charger. That could help you maintain some of your higher load, inverted items running while cooking your bacon.

Newmar King Aire, Essex, London Aire, and I think Mountain Aire are full 240V panels. I'm pretty sure all the Entegras are as well. Pretty much any recent coach with an Onan 10 or 12.5 KW generator is going to be 240V.

OK...I admit I'm not a house wiring guru by any means. Some thoughts...
1. Would Tiffin even allow the OP to order a 220V cook top if it couldn't supply 220V?
2. Has the OP investigated other 110V cook tops? Double Burner Induction Cooktop as an example.
3. What are the OP's expectations? In other words, do they expect to be full boil cooking on multiple burners (2 or 3?) or will this most likely be one "hot cooking" and maybe the other(s) keeping things warm?
Keep in mind that many units will have a max combined power usage. If one "burner" is full on the other might be limited.
Our usage of our gas cooktop is that we seldom have more than 1 burner cooking but do, on occasion have 2 however neither is running full flame. But...we don't do a lot of serious cooking on the range but more so in the convection oven.
I think the point I'm making to the OP is to be realistic in needs vs maybe, might use. If the OP does plan a lot of serious cooking on a cook top and they can solve the challenges in getting/managing power...BON APPETITE!

So much bad information here. RV 50 is not considered 100 amp it's 50 amp on two poles. By your logic my house has a 400 amp service on it NOT
Any RV with a 50 amp shore power has a 120/240 volt sub panel also know as circuit breaker panel. I can easily get 240 volts from my panel just by adding a 2 pole circuit breaker as long as I'm hooked up to a 50 amp shore power outlet. Now as for the generator My owan is 8kw 120 volts on two legs so no way to get 240 off gennie. My last coach had a 7.5 kw genrack which was a true 120/240 volt generator yes I tested it!!!
I'm sure the 10kw and 12kw are also 120/240 volt units.
The OP will not have any problem running the electric range on 50 amp shore power or generator.
Retired electrician 42 years Running projects from 2 to 25 million dollars I think I have some knowledge about the subject.

Hey Gary,
I'm not sure what coaches you're looking at or have been in, but most, if not all that have 50 amp service are wired for 220/240 volts in the service panel. From there 240 can be run to anything that needs that voltage in the coach. Any panel on a 50 amp service can handle a 2 pole breaker for 240 volts.

Just some of the fringe benefits from not using a gas cooktop. ;-)

We are PRE-Newbies.
So all your feedback to us has been extremely informative and useful. We now have an understanding of the relationships between the camp hookups/our 10kw gennie and our new Cooktop.
We will be at Red Bay on Nov 10 to watch our "New Home" be built. Your feedback has alleviated major concern about having them install the Wolf for us instead of the standard Summit.
Thanks again!

you wont be very popular running your generator in a campground with hookups even if they only have 20 and 30 amp power.
