Is it hard to replace table with banquette?

Our rig has a table with loose chairs but we would much rather have a banquette that can convert to a bed for our kids. This past year we just made do by pulling out an air mattress every night, but it would be nice avoid that.

Our initial thoughts were "should we just trade in the rig and get what we want"? But we just purchased last year and actually really like it other than that.

And I am thinking it would be a lot cheaper and probably easier to just replace the table than go through all the trouble of trying to find a new rig.

Question - have you ever done this? If so, did you do yourself?

If you do it yourself - where do you buy the replacement and it is really something that really can be a DIY project?

If you hired someone - where do you find a remodeler?

We are in Western PA.

I'll bet there is someone out there that would swap your table and chairs for their dinette if the colors match up. Cushions can be recovered to match your interior. Maybe look for the dinette vs table and chairs thread.
Good luck.

Last year we replaced our table and chairs with a booth style at Bradd and Hall in Elkhart with a Flexsteel unit that makes into a bed. I had to get my own table as I didn't like the options that were available. We had them remove the arms on the wall side to give us more room and put in seat belts on the forward facing bench. Also note the extra storage under the benches.

Here's more info: Dinette

Before we upgraded to get slides to have more room we had looked at changing out the jack knife sofa with a new one from the following site. I remembered seeing dinette booths on the site.

Truck Seats,Sprinter,Promaster,Transit Seats,RV Furniture,

If you are able then go the Bradd and Hall route. They are good. You can totally choose and know what you will get. Elkhart isn't that far. You would be very happy with the result.
