I did a lot of research on the Samsung. Read all the forums on RV sites as well as the Samsung site. There were some issues of defrost operation, but those concerns were some time ago. I have had no issues.
It was the best modification to our motorhome we have made so far. It is on 24/7, something I was not comfortable doing with the Norcold when in storage.
Very quiet, much quieter than the Norcold
Much colder than the Norcold
Much bigger inside the box
Uses less energy overall
No need to manually defrost
Less weight
No dry camping issues with inverter
No fire risk
Other than the pain of installation, no regrets.
Sold the Norcold for $500 and got a rebate from the power company.

Try to live up to your dogs opinion of you.

We have one in the home base. One month out of warranty and the defrost unit is kaput. It defrosts, but the water from the cycle pools in the bottom of the fridge. Samsung insists it is not covered under the 5 year component warranty. Never again, for house or RV. Oh, and no repair service in our area will touch it.
