agm sounds good, and i have known many people like it. but it's too pricy in my mind. i might settle for a wet cell and keep maintaining it (not that bad especially adding some mineral oil into it).

My starting batteres are Interstate 31-MHDT, with stud-type posts @ 195A-RC ea. They have a sealed top-solid plastic, no slots, slits, or cracks to pry open. There are 2 vents out the side of the top section. I called Interstate and questioned this; I was told this particular model is maintenance-free and there is no way to add solution. The woman I talked to had to put me on hold while she went to the battery storage and looked for herself because she didn't believe me when I said there was no way to add water. While telling this, she asked the store manager who told her I was right, no way to add water.

Shake or rock it sideways...

Water sloshing inside is flooded...

If it has little fittings on the edges that look like a small 1/8 id hose would slip on and if two on opposite sides then those may be agm and the fittings are for gas vents.

One in and one out.

That is for a multi-battery installation where all are daisy chained together with tubing that runs outside.

Common on commercial storage battery plants.
