Been there, done that... $2,200 in suspension, $760 A/C, $820 new hoses, belts, batteries, $820 for new brakes and around $1,200 in other parts and repairs. Still got 6.4 mpg.....

Thanks for your input gents. Even though he's pumped about 12 large into it lately I'm leary of the suspension. Guessing that futon isn't sporting any seatbelts either? I think I'll search for some mid-late 90's with fresh tires/brakes for a bit more money and hopefully way less miles. Might have to hop on a plane though? Maybe Vegas has some deals?

The answer to your question is NO, it is not a decent value for the asking price. Except for a new dash stereo and new aluminum wheel covers ever thing listed as being relatively new is nothing more than maintenance. Maintenance is necessary to MAINTAIN value not add to it.

F53's were not OBD II compliant until V10's were utilized circa 1999.

No ball joints as it is a straight axle utilizing kingpins, which at 115K probably (not always) need replacing. Considerably more expensive.

Max value less than $ 5000.

Good luck in your search.
