You will need something to maintain a straight downward angle with no dips. Othe wise u may have draining/flow issues.

We.ve been RVing for over 14 years and have never found the need for such an item. We're not full timers but usually spend several months a year on the road, I would think if you move frequently it would be more of a pain than a convenience.

We often find parks that have rules where the hose cannot lay on the ground and must be sloped. I carry three chunks of plastic gutter which I snap together and just lay the hose in that then block it up till it slopes away from the motorhome.

Especially if you travel much out west, you'll find that there are some parks who claim there is a local ordinance requiring it... but those places we've seen are usually selling their own version of the hose support.
We had one for a while but after it broke I never replaced it.

There are parks that insist (at least their rules sheet might say) that you need something to support your sewer hose because of local ordinances, I learned that I only need to dump once a week anyway. So what I do is leave the slinky in the compartment and only drag it out once a week, hook up, dump, drain, and put it away. So it's only out for 15 minutes per week. No complaints from anyone. If I had to dump more often then that, AND I was staying somewhere for a month or more, then I might get one. So far in 8 years of full timing, never felt I needed one.

Never have seen a requirement for the hosevto be supported. Interesting. If I were to run into the requirement would probsbly just pull out the hose when needed.
I have one. Bought it years ago when aquired furst cosch. Never have used it. Its somewhere in a storage bin wrapped up as new.

Ditto. Never leave ours hooked up. Just dump, rinse, and put it away.

If someone paid to get one, they will say it is needed. I have never needed one and don't plan to get one. I have never had a park that had a rule saying I needed one.
I suggest you save your money and make a decision after a few months.
People that think you need one are probably leaving their hose hooked up all the time and leave their drains open all the time as well.
You will find that this is not a good way to manage the wast anyway. Even if you are at a park for a longer time, and have the hose hooked up to the sewer while there. IMHO, it is a better practice to close your drains after dumping your tanks and allow them to fill up at least 2/3 full before opening them. This allows enough pressure to build up in the tanks to force all the solids out and through the stinky slinky.
Always open the black water drain first, then after the black water tank is empty, open the gray water tank. This will keep the stinky slinky clean. Also, if you don't allow the tank to fill up with liquid before draining, you run the risk of getting the dreaded pyramid of poop build up in your tank.
