yep, winterized the RV last Wednesday, and had hard frost on Friday night. Still took it to the lake on Saturday, without water. One more weekend, then we will put it in its winter hibernation spot next week.

Around my house, winterizing means putting the chains in the tow vehicle and switching out the swimming suits for long johns.
Winter camping, here we come!

I change the oil, put a light bulb in the wet bay and a heater inside and I'm ready for our wet winters. We use our rig pretty much year round except now that we have a grandson to raise it ties us down during school!

Best way to winterize is to point the nose on the rig south and stop when it is not freezing...then move again as needed.

But they don't have winter in the south...I heard that the can't-stand-being-chilly-lobby passed laws against it or something.

Wish I could convince my husband to become a snow bird, but until that time, I guess we will be blowing out the plumbing, adding RV anti-freeze and putting Irish Spring soap here and there.....I hope it works this winter! Don't relish the thought of cleaning up mouse do-do in the spring!!!

Afraid I have use all the remedies only one I found that worked was the old wire snap trap with a little peanut butter.
One winter had 12 of the critters, the word must of got out next year not so many. 
 Place behind the fridge, under kitchen cabinet draws, on top of duel tires, Gen compartment, electrical cord compartment and the engine wiring area. 
Caught one in every area you can buy them by the package.

I just disposed of another mouse yesterday... I think our rig is a "Mouse Magnet"!

I attach a foot of neon pink "surveyor's flagging tape" to each trap to remind me not to stick my hand there without looking.
If I find a loaded trap, I can pick it up by the tape without touching the "late" critter.
