Smile Jacks and Slide Not Working

* * * HELPFUL HINT * * *
I have been fighting problems with Jacks, Slideout and Door Step for months.
Problem found ! !

I discovered that one of the Positive Battery Cables was loose on the Chassis Battery Bank. Removed cable and found signs of arcing and pitting of cable connector and battery post.

Check all battery cable connectors and battery posts for signs of lose connections or corrision.

Fluid level

If you have hydralic jacks and slides check the fluid level maybe it's running low.The step is a different problem, could be a bad ground cable. JMHO Jim

The battery connect/cable problem can be hard to spot. And if you need new cables, sometimes they can be hard to find - what you can get at NAPA aren't what you need. We had extras made up for us at an Interstate Battery dealer in Albuquerque one summer - when we realized we had a cable problem.
