Jacks Retract: proper method

I know someone who broke a windshield when he retracted the jacks. I always use auto retract and auto level.

Slide movement should always be done with the jacks extended or down for a stable platform.

I did a quick search and didn't see anything that discussed popped or broken winshields due to jack movement.

He said the replacement full-view windshield cost $3,300.00

I have met several people within the last 6 mos that had a popped windshield. Geezz... I sure hope they don't all pop out.

I would suggest each owner read their manual for proper slide and jack operation.

With the PowerGear Auto Jack system, you don't have a choice. You just push the Retract button and it retracts. I suppose on a manual system you could torque the frame if you're able to retract left and right manually. It makes sense to only retract the front and/or the rear first and only, not left/right.
