Jacks Up or Down
When you park your MH for extended periods of time, should the Jacks be UP or DOWN?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Opinions on this vary but I store mine with the jacks down just far enough to remove much of the weight from the tires. I don't believe there is a "right" answer.

Jacks down. If you live in a corrosive environment spray the jack shafts with light oil to prevent surface rust.

Hi Farmjudge,
The choice is yours. Either way is acceptable. When ever my coach is not in use, the jacks are up. There are millions of coaches that go south for the winter and sit for months at a time with the jacks down. There is no harm either way.

Jacks down and spray the shiny part of the jacks with a protective coating or wipe them down with a cloth rag saturated with oil. Works for us.

Check with the manufacturer of your RV.

Jacks down. I spray with silicone because that's what the manufacturer of my jacks recommend.
