Jensen Dash Radio

I have never been much of a Jensen fan. My dash radio connects with very few stations while going down the road. It seems to find a station and hold it for about 5 minutes, gets fuzzy and then drops reception. The radio in the bedroom finds many more stations and does not drop them. Anyone else have this issue with their dash radio?

I too have never been a fan of Jensen.

However, the dash Jensen JRV212T that came installed in my motorhome works fine. The AM/FM/and Weather stations lock and hold until I drive out of range.

If you are dealing with a new motorhome, it's not uncommon for the antenna to not be properly connected from the factory. Both my Winnebago and Fleetwood have been found with their antenna's not connected.

I will have to look into my antennas because the dash Jensen pulls in stations great but the outside entertainment one does not. Problem with my dash Jensen is that if the cockpit area heats up (like when the afternoon sun hits the front of the MH) the DVD player part of it loses the picture to the TV. Still get sound but no video. Just another mystery to figure out!

I always thought it was the antenna, or maybe a cable problem, that was until the volume control stopped working at a very loud spot. I replaced it and the new stereo using the same antenna and cable works just as well as the radio in the toad. If my next rig has a Jensen it will be replaced as soon as possible, they are junk in my opinion.

I haven't messed with radio for over a decade. The Jensens, like most now, come equipped with a USB port. I dump my favorite MP3 music into folders and put them onto the USB. Plug the USB into the port and enjoy all your favorites while bouncing down the highway. But then again I have over 13000 songs in my music collection. I listen to all kinds of stuff.
