Just recovered the refrigerator with carbon fiber
Interesting. I'll ask, "Why?" I like it. So, the original finish is now on the back of the panels?

Cannot see why the DW would not like it.

So, you did it and THEN asked the DW if she liked it? I admire your bravery.

Wow looks nice.
Looks like an option for mine. I have wood that matches the cabinets, but last winter while in Arizona the wood warped out and split where it was glued. It never did go back straight. Just wondering, could I used thin plywood then put this carbon fiber on it?? What do you think?

They sell hardboard cheap at any home repair place. You need a smooth surface. I clear coated the back panel before installing the cover so it had something to stick too. I didn't want to put it on the finish side because I didn't know DW would like it and she does. Cheap upgrade

The one thing you will find on the "cheaper" wrap material is that it will not stay stuck around the edges. The application of high heat from a heat gun (170+) will help lock down the edges. There is also a finish glue that can be applied on the edges.
3M 1080 vinyl is still the best material available. It has air release, has low initial tack for ease of re-alignment, and sticks great with proper pressure and heat.
But, the cool thing about vinyl is, when you get tired of it, you just pull it off and put something new on. Your app looks great. Hope the DW likes it. With carbon fiber she has to see it in different light as the depth of the product is really cool.

I like the backsplash too. Where did you get the backsplash?
