Just traded up to diesel pusher.

Traded in 2001 Fourwind Windsport for 2008 Monaco LaPalma. I think I bought someone else's headache?. Dealer advised us that levelers needed a new control module and would have it sent to us. We'll we got it and that was not the problem. Now dealer does not want to answer our calls. Keep.getting the run around. Were on first camping trip and slide cable broke while slide was out. Since dealer will not return calls were stuck at campground. At least it's a sunny warm day.

Call the maker of the levelers. I had problems with mine and they were great to work with to help trouble shoot the problem. I would do the same with the slide out. The dealers are useless after you pull off the lot.

Monaco tech support will help you. They are good at helping you troubleshoot.

Sorry for your troubles. My advice to anyone owning an rv is to be handy with tools or handy with a check book. If something isn't broken on arrival something will break soon. You are on the right forum and someone will have some great advice soon. I will get dumped off the internet in just a few minutes. On the border of Maine and Canada with poor access.

Post information on the leveler symptoms too. I have diagrams for the slide mechanisms but no time to post.

A mobile rv tech may be able to help if you get in a real bind. Most rv parks have contacts for them.

What type levelers do you have? Electric or Hydraulic? Must be electric slides, never heard of a cable on hyd. slides. The campground should have the name of a mobile rv repair. What's the name of the dealer? Might be someone the rest of us want to avoid.

No matter how much you check/inspect things, something will always crop up afterwards, so don't feel bad about it! As others have sad, speak with the manufacturers and not the dealer and you typically get great support and advice.
