Just what I needed!

For anyone who likes to/needs to crunch numbers on different scenarios, ie: new vs. used, depreciation, rv vs. hotel, here are some calculators to help.

Depreciation

You can change variables if you disagree with the preset ones.

If any of you have followed any of my other posts regarding my intended rv purchase you know why I titled this as I did.

These are very helpful tools!

That is a really cool web site but I think it will shoot numbers at people that they wont like. Sure is interesting!

I chose to be FT rving. I knew it would depreciate. I saved the money, now I spend it. Happy is a good thing. Have fun now, you will be dead a long time.
Just sayin...

Depends on how you use the numbers. If you're valuing your own rig - Doh. If your using the depreciation schedule to negotiate with a dealer as I did it can be helpful. They are keenly aware of the situation and putting it on the table gets their lips moving and you know what that means. The more you known the better your bargaining position.

If your using it with a private seller, negotiating is a little more complicated than the numbers. You don't want to offend them but get the point across a little more smoothly. If they've looked into trade in they know too. They have watched as the value of the trade goes up in direct proportion to the sales price on paper.

I never worry too much about offending a salesman. They are getting paid to -
"Take That"!!

I never negotiate with my own money. I make an offer. Below market. They take it. My own no-haggle purchase plan.
It is YOUR money!
Be bold.
Win!
