The front end and front side windows as needed. By hand with a bucket and microfiber wash rags. 15 minute job.
The rest waits until home.

We just keep a lookout for Self-Service RV washes along our route, when necessary.

Did exactly one truck wash on our first cross country trip years ago.

Refrigerator got power blasted and quit working for 24 hours. Never again.

Everyone has their own System, but I like many need to do a little something, after sitting in that seat on the drive so I'll usually get my One Gallon bucket with a cap of Wash and Wax Soap- my Spray Detailer - Window washer - the Window cleaner squeegee - 4 micro fiber cloths - and Do the Front Window to Start then the Left side to the end of the awning - next day the front and the right side - third day the Back and the front.

Using a wet micro fiber dipped in the soap water, and placed over the window washer sponge, on the extend a pole, to clean - then wring the rag out and Go over the same space again before one final wipe with the Detailer and a dry rag.

No, it does not scratch, unless it is MUD covered, do the same on the car and the DW's car, I've found if you keep a good coat of Wax/Poly on them the dirt just almost slides off.

So as I travel I can keep the coach clean and use less water than they spray on the asphalt when they water the Green areas at the CampGround.

I've found over the years if I do this then the Coach will stay pretty clean.

Side Note here - If I get off the main road, which I often do and the road turns to Gravel/DUST - then I'd tend to look for a power wash spot to just get the dirt off so I can get back to my system.

This is what works for Me - 20 years and counting.

JMHO,

Hi Pirate Jerry great video. The Blue Beacon I used didn't have roof hoses so the roof didn't get as cleaned as I would have liked. Also the BB was poorly lit. A employee would go over the semi' s with a high powered flashlight to look for missed areas which is a good thing. This one is in Commerce City, Colorado.

Smitty so that is what I have. Micro checking in the dark areas. Bummer, looks great from far away until you get close. 2004 Dip.

Some CGs will allow on site washing ( for a fee). Some have mobile detailers that can come to you.
Lacking that, we use Blue Beacon a lot. They seem to do a a good job and they are fair in their pricing.

Keeping coach clean on the road

I use blue beacon to get the grime and grit off then use wash wax all to clean off any film and water spots. Clean front at end of driving day using wash wax all.

Bought the wash wax all Rv kit hat has a very nice pole system.

Keeping coach clean on the road

Some polish and primp their rides. That doesn't bother me. I like to watch!
Blue Beacon, on my request, cuts the spray pressure in half, is extra careful around the fridge, uses clean horse hair brushes, and makes my ride look great for a bit. Then we move, and that, frequently. Until the next BB visit, my ride gathers a protective layer of patina.
My bones don't allow me to do it myself, and I have too much to see and do on the never-ending Journey!

Great idea asking BB to lower the water pressure!

I have used Blue Beacon but won't let them touch the coach with the brush, it scratches the paint. I also use wash and wax when on the road. Always wash the bugs off the windshield when I park but use windshield cleaner. When I have time I can clean it in my driveway.

We're another fan of Blue Beacon. You can download an APP for your phone with their locations. The only downfall is if there are several semis in line for a wash it can take quite a while.

So at Blue Beacon’s $1.25 a foot, $10 for toad and $20 in tips that’s $70, about 1/3 the mobile guy’s cost. No brained for me.
